Get involved Before an emergency happens, get to know which aid organisations are active in your area. Ask at your local municipal offices or community centre. They should be able to give you a list of local aid organizations , welfare services and charities. If you want to help out or to share your knowledge and expertise, why not get involved with a local first aid or welfare organisation? You can help your fellow citizens by being part of the local first aid or welfare network. You’ll be able to help individuals and society at large when there are accidents or emergencies. Volunteering as a first-aider means you’ll become an active member of the community. You’ll help prevent daily accidents (at home, in the workplace, …), and you’ll help to rescue and support the victims of accidents and disasters. So get in touch with your local branch of the Red Cross or with another first aid organisation!
